This manual shows how to clean the resin vat with isopropyl alcohol, without the necessity to remove the vat from the printer.

Prepare:

  • a bottle with IPA solvent
  • gloves
  • paper towels
  • plastic spatula

Navigating through the Menu

From the Menu select Tools, then Resin Level Control System and choose Clean Printer. Press Start.

Pumping out and Wiping

The printer will now start pumping the remaining resin out and wiping the screen.

Using the Spatula

Use the plastic spatula included in the Starter Kit to help remove the remaining resin. Direct the resin towards the tube. Make sure not to damage the FEP film.

Bottle with IPA installation

Once the resin has been pumped out, place a bottle with isopropyl alcohol next to the bottle with resin. Clean the tube with a paper towel and install it into the bottle with the solvent. Press Continue.

Pumping the IPA Solvent in

The printer will now start pumping the IPA solvent into the resin vat.

Once the IPA solvent has been pumped in, you can start cleaning the resin vat.

Resin Vat Cleaning

Clean the resin vat from remaining resin using paper towels. Make sure not to damage the FEP film. Once you cleaned the vat, click Continue.

At this point, the printer will start automatic resin vat and platform cleaning.

Follow instructions displayed on the screen.

At the stage 5 of Pumping Out, you can use the plastic spatula included in the Starter Kit in order to help remove the remaining solvent. Make sure not to damage the FEP film.

Finishig the Cleaning Procedure

Once all the solvent has been pumped out, you can complete the cleaning process.

Use a paper towel to gently clean the resin vat from remaining solvent. Make sure not to damage the FEP film. When done, click Continue on the screen.
