The extruder lower fan is an essential part of the extruder which has a direct influence on the quality of the printed objects. It ensures that each layer of the material is cooled down so that the next one can be applied onto it without causing them to split apart. Therefore, if you notice imperfections on the surface of the model, for example, the model melts, and you can warping or burn marks, it may indicate the extruder lower fan failure. Also, if the fan generates unusual noises, or its blades don’t spin, replace the fan to avoid having a failed print. The following manual shows how to replace the extruder lower fan.
