Platform calibration is necessary if the printer is run for the first time or if there are any printing issues, for example warping syndrome or incomplete first layer. Platform calibration must take place after platform maintenance.
Initiating the Calibration
From the menu select “Maintenance” -> “Autocalibration.”
Tightening the Knobs
When the extruder is heated up, press the dial to start the autocalibration.
Follow the instructions on the display. Tighten all calibration knobs and press the dial.
The printer will now start to check the distance between the nozzle and the center of the plate.
Checking the Points at the Backside
The printer will now start to check the distance between the nozzle and the back points on the plate.
Checking the Points at the Frontside
The printer will now start to check the distance between the nozzle and the front points on the plate.
If the printer detects an incorrect distance, it will display instructions on what adjustments should be made.
Once you’ve tightened/loosened the knobs, push the dial and the printer will recheck the distances.
When the proper distance for all the points on the plate is set, the printer will finish the calibration and display the calibration results.
